Every emirate in the UAE enforces the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code of Practice through its own Civil Defence department. For schools, this code covers evacuation provisions for occupants with reduced mobility in multi-storey buildings – a requirement that comes up at inspection and at licence renewal.
Whether a school and Universities are in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or Fujairah, the underlying code is the same; what differs is the local Civil Defence department that inspects and signs off on it.
A fire evacuation plan is only as good as its weakest assumption, and the weakest assumption in most school plans is that every student, staff member, and visitor can use a staircase unaided during an emergency. An evacuation chair closes that gap. It lets untrained staff move a person with a mobility limitation down a stairwell safely, without waiting for external emergency services to arrive.
This has moved from a nice-to-have to a standard compliance line item for multi-storey schools across the UAE, sitting alongside fire extinguishers, alarms, and emergency lighting in a facilities audit.
Covers reduced-mobility occupants on every floor, including temporary injuries.
One person can operate the chair down a stairwell with minimal instruction.
Sits in your facilities file next to extinguishers, alarms and emergency lighting.
SABZ supplies both powered and manual evacuation chairs (EV 8000 / EV 9000 series), built for single-operator use on standard stairwells. Every order includes delivery, installation, and hands-on operator training for designated school staff.
Motorised descent for taller buildings and repeated use, reducing operator strain across multiple floors.
Lightweight, wall-mounted and always ready - controlled descent on standard and narrow stairwells.
